Where is the "Good" in Goodbye?

"Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened." I don't like to say goodbye because goodbye is for people who will not meet again. I am totally grateful to you Sir Mabuan for teaching us even though  in a short time. In our first meeting I thought you were short-tempered professor because you look so serious. But days passing by, my vision into you changed. You helped us build our self-confidence by speaking english in front of our class. I will bring this knowledge you gave me in my future career. You had been part of my college life. I like listening to your discussion even though I'm a bit naughty in your class. Sorry for that happenings.

Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before we can meet again and meeting again, after moments or a lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. We must treasure all of the good times we had in our english class.

I enjoyed and learned a lot in our english class. We had also formed a friendship with our irregular block mates. I am so happy to have my jolly block mates and good professors. This last english class meetings I will make sure that you will bring in your memory the class of H-125. I will give my 100% participation on our last meetings. I think this won't be last time we will meet sir mabuan. Hopefully you will be our english professor someday in our 2nd yr, 3rd yr or 4th yr. You gave us a wonderful first semester. See you around in the LPU Sir Mabuan! Goodluck to your teaching life! :)

"It’s all said and done, it’s real, and it’s been fun."

English Week!

Last September 13, 2013, we had been invited by Sir Mabuan to watch an in prompt to speech by using English Language in Mini Theatre. We did not fledged the other contestant because we went to the mini theatre late. All of the contestant caught may attention because of their fluency in speaking in english. I truly admire those people we can speak in english fluent in front of many people. Some contestant were so fast in speaking in english. In that case I can't understand what were they saying. Some contestant used some strategies to confuse the audience. I think all of them gave their full effort on speaking on the stage.

Nowadays, some schools were having the speaking english order. I think they implemented that because they wanted to teach their students to see what is the significance of English language. I think some company here in the country hiring people who were good at speaking in english. As you can see, English language were so productive in us Filipinos. We must preserve  what was our  ancestors gave us, our talent, knowledge and other wealthiness  in life.

For me, english grammar can lead us filipinos to the other countries. English is the #1 language used in the whole world. In that, We can conclude English seems very important to us Filipinos.

Wreck It Ralph

Once again Disney has created an immersive world that's rich with detail. The film tells the story of the titular arcade game villain who rebels against his role and dreams of becoming a hero. He travels between games in the arcade, and ultimately must eliminate a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph himself inadvertently started.

For my opinion, Ralph wanted to be a good hero in his game. But suddenly, the other people in the arcade Fix-it Felix, Jr does not want Ralph to be good in their game because they needed someone to wreck the building which Felix Jr was always. For me, Ralph was not bad in the movie rather he show how to change for the better. He helped on how to saved the whole arcade name Sugar Rush. He also helped Vanellope which was the Glitched  to turn a Princess.

I believe in his saying  "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me." Like me, I am also not perfect, I do wrong

AFP Vs MNLF

As you can see there were group of soldiers hiding beside the armored truck. I think they want to secure the place near to the fire place. The government decided to evacuate some of the barangays in Zamboanga. A total of 62,329 people have been forced out of their homes by continuing fighting between government forces and guerrillas of the Moro National Liberation Front in a number of seaside districts.

For my opinion, the government had the greater fault about what was happening right now in Zamboanga. The only want of the MNLF is to raise their flag in front of the Zamboanga city hall. But the government stand firm and they arrested most of the rebel MNLF. In that case, I conclude that in mind of the MNLF, government don't want to grant their wish but they wanted some war.

But for me, I want to have peace and order in Zamboanga City. We filipinos are only the we can help with each other in the times of calamities, misunderstanding and other circumstances that can damage our relationships with other filipinos.

Typhoon Maring

We all know what was the big disaster brought by the typhoon "Maring". I think it started August 16 2013 in the part of Central Luzon. It lasted about 1-2 weeks. The strong winds and heavy rains continued until it create a big distraction in our country. The main cause of flash floods in some part of central luzon is throwing garbage improperly. There are alot of property destroyed especially the informal settlers' property. Also the livelihood in the provinces also affected by the typhoons.

I am also affected by the typhoon maring but not as big as the others. I can't go out in our house for almost 1 week because of the flood. Thankfully, our unit in the condo is in the 3rd floor so it is only a small problem to us. There were no classes for 1 week. I had no choice but to stay at home and watch. I felt sad when I saw at the news what was happening in some flooded areas. On the other hand, I also felt happy for the people giving donations and relief goods to those who were affected by the typhoon. I also contributed, but in a small way only. By praying everyday. That was the only i can do to them.

It is good to see pictures like this because of people  helping each other.

Communication & Making Inferences, Predictions and Assumption

In that meeting we had discussed about making Inferences, Predictions and Assumption. Inference is the act or process of deriving logical conclusions from premises known or assumed to be true. And there are two type of inference:

  • Supported Inferences
  • Unsupported Inferences
Prediction is figuring out what will happen next. It is made by using previous knowledge based on experience, together with the clues from the story. And last, Assumptions is an accepted cause and effect relationship, or estimates of the existence of a fact from the known existence of other facts.

In that case we already know what were the differences of them with each other. We also know what are there uses in Communicating.

Communication Types and Methods

Communication is defined as the sharing or exchanging of information from one person to another by the means of speaking, writing, or using signals. It is divided into three main parts:

  • Body language (55%)
  • Style (38%)
  • Words (7%)
There are different types and methods in communicating. These are Conversation/Verbal, Gesture/Non-verbal, Written, Visual and Multimedia.

In Verbal communication/Conversation is the most common on how to communicate with others. Uttering words and phrases and sentences is also considered a verbal communication. In Gesture/Non-verbal is the flow of the conversation is non speaking, no words uttered, no noise type of communication. In written it used for when you have to provide detailed information such as figures and facts. In visual it is for photographs, films, etc.. In Multimedia, combination of text, audio, still image, animation, video, or interactivity content forms.

For me, communication is very important to communicate with others. It also helps on how you to be close to the person who you were talking to. It also give the emotion of the person who you were talking to.
